Be a Super Hero in the fight against cancer by joining us on June 8th for our first ever Lansmoore Lasers Swim-a-thon! This is a really FUN way to come together and contribute to a great cause. Swim Across America Atlanta funds benefit the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. 100% of funds raised will be donated to Swim Across America. We hope you'll join us! Please read below for more details on how to get started today and participate in this event. What: First annual Lansmoore Lasers Swim-a-thon will be Super Hero themed to continue the fun from our first home meet. Leading up to the event, swimmers raise donations from friends, family, neighbors to sponsor their swim. On June 8th, our Super Hero swimmers bring their donations to the Swim-a-thon and swim as many laps as they can in one hour. Our suggested goal for each swimmer is to raise $25. We'd love all swimmers who are participating in the event to show up and swim whether they have raised less than or more than the suggested target. Every effort and dollar make a difference. Donations can be made on the day of the swim-a-thon by check or cash. (checks should be made to "Swim Across America"). We encourage swimmers to ask sponsors for a flat fee donation prior to or during the event. For this first year we want to avoid "swim first, collect later" pledges per lap that can take days or weeks for the swimmers trying to collect. Where: Lansmoore Pool. *Music and healthy breakfast snacks will be provided.

When: Saturday June 8th- (8-9am for 10 and under) (9-10am 11 and older)

-A 6 year old swimmer might ask a grandma "I'm going to raise money for children's cancer and swim as many laps as I can in one hour. Probably more laps than I've ever swam before. Could you donate some money to Swim Across America to cheer me on?" 

-A 16 year old swimmer might tell a family friend "I've set a goal to swim 100 laps in 60 minutes next Saturday to raise as much money as I can to support Swim Across America. The funds raised benefit our local Atlanta Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. I'm looking for sponsors for my swim and I thought of you.
